Ok. Well I been smokingpot for about 10 years or so and well it is just getting old so I decided to quit the other day. What got me to quit was when I started getting panic attacks from it(even if it wasn’t that strong). I was driving down the highway the other day and just about passed out while driving so I pulled over. I think it gave me a panic attack and that was what happened.

Now since I been off the stuff for a few days now I been sleeping a lot more and in general feel a lot more healthy. It feels better to be sober now than any drug. But the real test is when I get back around people who are smoking it(tomorrow night at a party). My question is should I go to the party and resist or should I just stay home? I’ve tried to quit before and this is the farthest I’ve gotten yet.

Yeah I honestly know I have an addictive personality so maybe Ill just stay home forever. Seriously though, pot is actually a very addictive drug whether one wants to admit it or not. It’s funny because I envy some of my friends who don’t care for weed. I guess it all just comes down to your own will power. Any tips On Stop Smoking Marijuana?

Don’t be a quitter. No one likes that quality in a person.

it’s all up to you and how you feel with where you are at right now.. if you saw someone smoking a joint on tv would it bother you a lot? because if you are really going to be around it for real you will see it and smell it, it is a lot to handle if you have been smoking for 10 years. it also depends on how long it’s been since you’ve quit it seems as though it’s only been a few days i would think it would be pretty easy to give in… ask yourself how you think you would react if you were in that situation, do you think you could resist? do you actually want to quit for real?

It would be wise to skip the party. Second hand pot smoke is worse than second hand tobacco smoke b/c it still gets into your system and you can get a mild ‘hit’ from it that will tempt you back into toking up again.

Instead, do some research on line for the nearest Narcotics Anonymous meeting to you tonight or tomorrow. Find yourself a mentor to give you the encouragement and support you need to continue to stay clean.

Best of luck! Don’t try to do this on your own if there is help available.

i’ve been smoking weed for close to 5 years. your situation is a bad one, but a typical one as well. when you smoke pot, you make friends who you are cool with but would honestly not see very much (or at all) without pot. but at the same time, you dont want to miss the party. sucks, huh?

go jogging. if you have chills, cant eat, or am just bored, run!! i know its cliched, but based on personal experience, nothing brightens a day of pot withdrawal quite like jogging. and you accomplish something. Good luck!!!!!

Doing anything too much can result in harm. Having one joint a week isn’t going to kill you, having ten joints a day probably will give you panic attacks.

Also, second hand pot smoke is -not- worse than second hand tobacco smoke. That’s just bullcrap force-fed to you by people who don’t want you to enjoy having freedom.

I have been smoking Marijuana daily for almost 8 years. I started when I was 14 years old. I am currently 22. I started smoking because all my friends where doing it; it was the “cool thing” to do. Prior to smoking I was always on the honor roll I was the class president, and captain of the girl’s varsity track and cross-country team. As I began smoking more and more I started to notice that my grades starting slipping and I was never on time for class. I started to bunk school and got into a lot more trouble. My parents did not know what to think of me. I would never go home I was always late for curfew. I remember at one point I did not go home for a week. I was starting to think about dropping out of school but then I got pregnant and decided to finish. My daughter will be 5 in just a few weeks. Five months ago I decided that enough was enough. I noticed that I started to have anxiety attacks, became depressed and I was really nausea. I began to have cold sweats and just felt really weak. I knew that I could not quit “cold turkey” so I started to look on the internet to figure out what I could do. I came across a website Maritox.com and it completely changed my life. I now have a great job, I have more energy to play with my daughter and I am back in school to be a personal trainer. If I can give any advice to the people out there that struggle trying to quit on there own or trying to find a good job, it would be to check out Maritox. Maritox is all natural and non-addictive and it is for those who want to quit smoking marijuana without the nasty side effects. It is just like taking a daily vitamin. Thank you for listening to my story. I would like to wish best of luck to everyone. :)
