I’ve used the Equate (Walmart) brand in the past with success. I relapsed a few months ago and when I went looking for the Equate brand, I found that they are on some kind of recall. The pharmacy doesn’t know when it will be back in stock and I needed to start a quit right away. I found these online and so went to my local Target and purchased a pack. They work very well–just as well as the Equate. I tried the Nicoderm brand once and I can honestly say, this store brand works equally as well. I find that my cravings are almost silenced by the patch.
I would also like to suggest to potential quitters that if you decide to try the patch, it’s also a good idea to chew Extra gum in conjunction with the patch. It’s sugarless and the flavor really does last a long time. I don’t like the nicotine gums because they have an unpleasant bitter taste no matter what flavorings are mixed in.
One other thing, any patch you use may cause vivid dreaming. It doesn’t bother me but if you have problems with that, you can take the patch off before going to sleep and put one on as soon as you wake up in the morning.

If you’re on a strict budget, this will do. I did not have the issues the other reviewer I read had, but I could tell a slight difference. If you’re desperate, ok. But if you can afford it, I would go another direction…

I ran out of NicoDerm CQ patches so I decided to try these to save a couple of bucks. Big mistake. I used one and was instantly nauseous and within an hour I was vomiting. I removed the patch but felt sick for the rest of the day. I used NicoDerm CQ for three weeks prior and never had a problem.
