If I quit smoking weed, my memory start to improve? Ok, I’ve been smoking weed for about a year and 2 month. I smoke it daily. Now I’m starting to becoming lazy on this drug, and find myself not being able to recall pass memory.

So it kinda hard to remember what I just read. So I gotta back and re read what i just read.Kinda annoying. But u guys think my memory will get better if i quit. Because I’m serious about quitting.

    Marijuana plays a part in your short term memory. It doesn’t allow memories to convert to long term memory. So yes if you quit smoking "weed" you would be able to remember things better.

    Marijuana doesn’t damage your memory at all. It doesn’t do any harm at all. The onyl damage that is done is to your lungs because your inhaling burned plant material and smoke. If you eat it nothing will happen other than putting unnecessary stress on your canabinoid receptors in your brain.

    Yes, get off the weed. The brain continues to grow our whole lives. Weed and alcohol starve the brain cells of oxygen. I think they don’t get replaced, but mental exercise makes new connections. In general you have plenty of brain cells, so stop the weed and grow more connections.

    Search for "improve memory" and "improve concentration" on the web to get articles with tips and exercises.

    Also, meditate. Vipassana meditation is good (dhamma.org) or search for your city and "buddhist meditation class" Siddha Yoga is also good. And you can do it yourself. Start for 15 minutes once or twice a day. This can lead to a lot of the inner peace that weed gives.

    Yes. Your memory will improve. Hell, even if it doesn’t, it certainly can’t get any worse if you stop right? I mean, you’ve already hit the nail on the head. You realize that it’s degrading your memory. Why would you keep doing it if you know that’s what it’s doing? Don’t listen to these turds that are telling you ‘it doesn’t damage you at all’. Weed is a very individual drug. Meaning, it does things different things to the thought processes of different people. It depends on a lot of things; genes, your existing thought patterns, your propensity for mental laziness, self esteem.. Weed may not directly “damage” your brain “physically”, but it has the potential to alter your thought process in a very negative way. Some people need pot (the impulsive types). Most evolved people do not.
